Speaking as someone who is known for leaving pretty lengthy comments on fics (and I'm also the sort who reviews chapter by chapter at that with multi-chapter fics*), as a writer, I'm happy with whatever kinds of comments people choose to leave on my fic. Whether it's a long, detailed review or a "Great job, loved this!" or hell, a string of emoji reactions, I'm good with all of it. I'm just happy someone took the time to read something I wrote in and of itself, if they take a moment to tell me they liked it besides? That's icing on the cake, as far as I'm concerned :).

*I do this largely because I'm afraid if I were to wait until the end of a fic to comment, I'd forget to mention something I liked. But also, it is fun being able to review as I go along and react to each new development.

Anywho, OP, I'm glad you're getting a little more comfortable reviewing fics. I hope you continue having fun sharing your thoughts on what you read, and I hope the authors enjoy hearing from you.
