the showrunners aren't doing it on purpose because they don't know what you're thinking, OP. next time leave that line out.

DA

Noe I want to put that line in every secret, especially if it doesn't make sense.

Oh go fuck yourself you overly literal, joyless, little bastard.

First, I love the look of this secret.

Second, I'm really curious now, OP, to hear how you work "I Dream of Jeannie" into your "Trek" canon/chronology headcanon :D.

Okay, NASA in IDoJ is clearly a lot more military than real NASA was. They have their own prototype flying saucer at one point. They are doing much more regular spaceflights.

In Trek, they assume a more militarised NASA and more advanced spaceflight capability, the Gary Seven episode even has NASA launching an orbital space platform of some sort. So you can put those two together fairly easily.

And I don't think I need to explain how Genies fit neatly into Trek, what with The Organians, the Prophets, the Q, and all the other godlike aliens all over the place.

Also everyone tends to end major life events in both shows by staring in the same direction and having an awkward smile and laugh...

Kinda love this headcanon

AYRT

I love this.Especially the part about how genies make sense in a world where Q and the Prophets and so forth exist. Headcanon officially accepted :D. Thanks for the explanation! Stuff like this is why I love fandom.

I have a book with a fanfic in it called "The Trouble With Jeannie" where Jeannie blinks Maj. Nelson onto the Enterprise, and then starts doing this with a bunch of other 50's and 60's TV shows. It's hilarious and I only wish they hadn't left out the Monkees and the Addamses.

Omg. Is this a fanfic that you downloaded into a book form, or is this a BOOK book? It sounds fantastic.

It's part of a BOOK book. It's called Hellbent on Insanity and I can't find my copy of it right now. I have a bigass library which I'm very proud of but sometimes I can't find things.
