I gotta ask - do these actually have any content in them or are they just the cover images for laughs? I mean, not that I expect anything worth reading from these but is there actually more than a page of silly writing attached?

I think they're usually around 7000 words

(Anonymous) 2025-08-23 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That's... more than expected, really.

HELLO big Chuck Tingle fan here, tinglers actually average around 4000 words for the short stories.

There are also longer novellas like the Trans Wizard Harriet Porber series, Buttageddon: The Final Days Of Pounding Ass, and a couple others, but those aren't the ones with the popular eye-catching covers you tend to see thrown around.

Tinglers are about as unsubtle as you would expect from the cover but there is sincere thought and emotion in them. They generally have some commentary or message underlying the story before the pounding takes place. Sometimes it's very obvious what it's going to be about (like the one pictured in the secret) and sometimes you just have to read it to find out!

For the longest time I thought these were a meme or joke titles/cover art. It took me a bit to realize Mr Tingle was actually writing and selling these books. And good for him.

No, he seems to be a very amiable madman-- a Dr. Bronner for the 21st century.

And watching him show up the Sad Puppies was a little slice of fried gold.

I still feel it's a hoax.

The cover art is tickling my funny bone. The way it goes: long ass title that's getting progressively smaller because no one cares, somewhat related bg then bam: half naked hot guy in the front is absolute perfection.

I just want everyone to be aware that he has a few serious (horror) novels and they are really good!

(Anonymous) 2025-08-23 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh! I had no idea he'd branched out.

They are great novels!

They're on my to-buy-next list when I've gotten through my to-read pile.

I hope you enjoy them!

Yep!
I read Camp Damascus and Bury Your Gays. I liked BYG better, but to each their own. Straight is on my TBR.

I'll be the but of the joke and just guess that it's an ownership thing.
Jax and Dex were rather recent, and games like Earthworm Jim (a game I've always adored and halfway thought was a feverdream) was either not relevant enough, or there's some crosswires hatched where they really do believe this is the best option if maybe because the annoyance of the character made it maybe more memorable?

lol wrong secret sorry.

shit

Here I though the lusty firemen would always be my heterosexual heroes?! Have I found my mothers new reading?

(Anonymous) 2025-08-24 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah I read this one and the premise and setup of the story was deeply on-point!
