I hear you. I sometimes used to respond to logged in users but that didn't work either.

I reply on replies (to me) on old posts sometimes, but then I wonder if they ever came back and actually saw it

Same! One secret was really important to me so the next day I made a thread in GC. I didn’t get a huge amount of engagement but it scratched the itch and also it meant the secret maker saw my thank you to them.

I think people should feel free to use the current day’s GC to keep discussing previous secrets that they missed. I really like the idea of keeping some of those conversations going and letting people have more time to respond.

I had been posting a weekly “respond to old secrets/comments” thread for a month or two, but I forgot and stopped at some point. Maybe I’ll start again or whoever is here early can do it… is Saturday the best day for that kind of thing? Maybe Saturday and Sunday?

Secrets get left behind, but at least dumb arguments do, too.
You could try asking for your secret to be posted on a certain day?

I actually check secret posts for 1-2 days later! I love seeing which threads have ongoing discussions well past the active period of the post. A lot of it tends to be wank, but sometimes anons just keep chatting for a bit too.

I'm in the UK, so often miss the discussions regardless because of the timezones! I try and reply to people's comments on my secrets, but very rarely do people come back and check :(

Being in a different zone sucks. Usually I am reading secrets in the dead of the night for North Americans.

Bah, when this happens to me I just made a thread in the postsecret about it. Also I absolutely used to check the last day or two religiously when I came here every day.
