OG fan here, used to have watch parties in the late 90s. Spent the past decade rolling my eyes over younger people thinking their libertarianism was scandalous.

I haven't seen the new season, but that would indeed suck if it was just news commentary because SP's whole appeal has always been rooted in absurdism, like what starts as commentary devolves into random mountain monsters and toilet humor and Cartman is inevitably the worst human imaginable in any possible scenario.

OP here and yeah it's been excruciatingly lame this season. The opening episode was actually pretty good but now they've gone all in on setting everything at the White House and there's nothing to do with the town. The boys haven't been in any of the episodes except Cartman and Butters and even they disappeared from episodes 2 and 3. Tegridy Farms has finally gone away but I was stone faced through out the entire thing. (And I didn't hate Tegridy.)

Trey is the primary script writer so I wonder if he has depression over this whole thing.
