I have watched way more movies from the past five years (though I am counting early 2020) than I thought I had - 49 and I haven't even watched any 2025 movies yet. And while Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves would make it into my top eight of the movies I most enjoyed among them, I wouldn't put it as the best. It was a fun heist movie, with an interesting setting and engaging characters and that does put it head and shoulders above some of the much more critically acclaimed films that I saw and really disliked.

and see, I didn't find the characters interesting at all. which just goes to show, opinions clearly differ wildly on the movie and that's probably why it didn't take off like OP thought.

(I thought it was okay. I didn't hate it. but if my partner is watching it again I'll be elsewhere)
