I once got an e-mail from someone asking for a fic I'd written. I was puzzled by the description because it didn't sound familiar to me so I suggested she got the author wrong. She hadn't. It was my story. I had zero recollection until I found my saved chapters, lol. I sent them to her with my apologies. So yeaaah, I feel you on the memory issues. Sheesh.
