(Anonymous) 2025-09-16 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)I have seen literal comments like, "If she wrote XYZ song about a woman, it's devastating. If she wrote it about Joe Alywnn, it's pathetic." Also, "Gay men are insistent that she is straight because they can't imagine her music isn't written about men." ??? (Also they don't see the hypocrisy in them insisting her music is about women and and then shitting on gay men who are insisting it's about men.) And I don't get that. Isn't the whole point of art that it speaks to different people in different ways, and that's the beauty of it? So people can connect it to their own lives and their own experiences, however different those may be?

I think Gaylors can go too far, but their motivation is probs the same as me squooshing two hot straight male characters together because they're hot, so IDK.
