Honestly, I'm allergic to them as well. My allergy doc straight up said I need to get rid of her, but obviously she's not going anywhere. I'm allergic to so much though, that literally that same appointment two different doctors stopped while walking by to ask how I managed through the season. (trees, grass, weeds, are all terrible) I might start wheezing whenever my anxiety/stress levels acts up, but I'm not going to die, I have an epipen (from my severe food allergies no less), but she's going to stay until she can't anymore.
I really wouldn't recommend getting a cat if you do suffer though. It does suck that there aren't any hypoallergenic cats aside from the Egyptian(?) ones though, especially since they're known to be difficult, afaik.
