Oh, totally agree. And yet I find myself hooked. Recently, in my defense, because I need a Tuesday show. Now it's like crack. I can't stop watching. It's like a train wreck, but it's a crime show and it's on before my bedtime and it fills in an empty spot in my TV-watching week. I am horrified that I find myself liking it, because I've spent the last seven years hating the shit out of it. It's a sickness. *shame*

Completely and utterly agree.

But I watch it anyway, because somewhere in between its predictable plotlines (it's a guess who dunnnit before the credits), obvious humour and slightly overplayed characterisation it has become like an old friend who you catch up with once a week for about a month, and then don't talk to for a year - and by the time the next season starts you suddenly feel an overwhelming urge to get back on board.

tl;dr: I like it, but it's not like I take it seriously or anything.

NCIS is my popcorn show. It's fun and occasionally clever, but I don't watch it for the sweeping plot lines and fantastic drama. It does amuse me though.

I think 1-2 and 3-7 have different aims. 1-2 was definitely more srs bzns, made more sense (x10), and focused more on the crime. It just decayed from there. Its not ~bad~ (way better than a lot of the drama crap they have on nowadays) but don't watch it and expect something MINDBLOWING. No, not the next work of television art, but it can be a lot of fun.

Honestly, If I just watched one EP I wouldn't be impressed either. It seems like most of the fandom disliked it until they unintentionally marathoned it or stuck with it against their will in some fashion.

Although I must disagree with you on the whole "bad acting" front. I think most of the reoccurings do an excellent job :/ wth.

Okay, the rest of it is legitimate, but man, do not bash the actors. The actors are of an infinitely higher calibre than a) 99% of tv and b) the writing really deserves. They do a lot with a little. Especially David MacCallum, Michael Weatherly, and Mark Harmon.

Respect for David at the very least. C'mon now.

I disagree as well. It's certainly not edgy or AMAZING, but the cast have a lot of chemistry together, and the show has a lot of charm. I've really enjoyed the show a lot since Ziva replaced Kate.

Now watch NCIS: LA - no chemistry, and the writing and plot lines are even worse -_-
