lol, what season did you watch

I think 1-2 and 3-7 have different aims. 1-2 was definitely more srs bzns, made more sense (x10), and focused more on the crime. It just decayed from there. Its not ~bad~ (way better than a lot of the drama crap they have on nowadays) but don't watch it and expect something MINDBLOWING. No, not the next work of television art, but it can be a lot of fun.

Honestly, If I just watched one EP I wouldn't be impressed either. It seems like most of the fandom disliked it until they unintentionally marathoned it or stuck with it against their will in some fashion.

Although I must disagree with you on the whole "bad acting" front. I think most of the reoccurings do an excellent job :/ wth.

oh man...those...were not my favorites.

I do not like pretty much every episode Jeanne was in.

and La Frog and Jenny...idk I didn't like that plot line at all.

If you can ignore Jenny and some initial problems with Ziva and her god-moding, season three is also extremely good. 2 and 3 are definitely the best, IMO. That was back when it was extremely accurate (relatively speaking) to jurisdictional problems, actual forensics, and crime scene procedures, etc. But, yeah, it grows on you over time. There's only a handful of episodes I would point to as individually amazing and even then it's partly because of accumulated impact.

Mostly, I love it because the quality of acting, right down to the bit parts, is so infinitely above that of any other procedural/action adventure show. Only S1-2 House was as well done.
