My issues with Joss aren't so much with storyline (and really, if you think the storyline boils down to who does and does not die, I think you're kind of missing the point) but it's with the dialogue. So many of his characters have essentially the same voice.

And I LIKE that voice and I will stop every time and watch a Firefly, Angel -- and usually even Buffy -- episode if I stumble across it, but after all that, but he's quickly ceasing to be someone I do appointment-viewing for -- or even someone I'm compelled to stick around for on faith if something's just not grabbing me (*cough*Dollhouse*cough*).

And OT a little, but I feel the same way about Aaron Sorkin. A Few Good Men, Sports Night and The West Wing? Love them, will watch them whenever. Studio 60? Nah.

THIS. "Bored now" could have come from pretty much any Whedon character. And Sorkin is just...ugh. I agree with the guy and I wish he would shut it. Or at least be more subtle about it. Just because you like it doesn't make it a noble and important calling, dude.
