I've never watched more than two random episodes of Supernatural, and barely remember him in Smallville, but he wasn't super tan was he?
Now that I'm thinking about it, I assume people described him as paper white then, maybe? I have some thoughts as to why, but I'm curious about the context so I know if my experiences apply or not.
