Ugh, yes. I noticed this when I tried watching The Big Family Cooking Showdown, the casual racism when an Indian family cooks an awesome dinner of their traditional dishes and the chefs are like wellllllll, is it really that much of a challenge for them when it's their own cuisine? But then when a white family cooks a Swedish menu inspired by their Swedish background, nobody says that.

Even GBBO was guilty of it. Like how often did you see a brown person being touted as "good at flavors" or "Queen/King of Flavors" because they use "exotic" herbs and spices. Nobody blinks at this, it's just so ingrained in the culture.
