Kaeya is my fave and part of it is that I am also an alcoholic. Ahaha. :,)

Idk, I can definitely see how folks would see it as pro-alcohol given the prevalence, but I personally don't feel like it is. Of the three characters who are often seen binge drinking (Citlali, Kaeya, and Venti), Citlali and Kaeya come of as drinking to cope, which is not exactly healthy. It's often presented in a slapstick way on the surface, but when you look at their characters more in depth, it's pretty depressing.

Venti is also very slapstick, but he also gets reprimanded a lot for it. The fact he is a god of a land known for its wine also gives him more leeway, I feel. It gives a bit more dimension since most pantheons have a god tied to alcohol in some way.

I didn't want to mention that since we're still waiting on more of his lore (story quest part 2, WHEN?). But yep, if I was immortal and kept seeing my dearest friends die, I'd be drinking (more than I do now).

Hi a fellow gamer with good taste. Kaeya's the best.
Hoyo had the paper animals drink ink from beer mugs to make their world colourfull in Simulanka. Now even Dori drinks in Nod Krai. Beidou has a drinking animation. That's a lot for a game.

I went to AA about a year ago so I have opinions on alcoholism.

Dori also scams people. Dori ist not portrayed in a positive way for the most part as a whole. The drinking to make things colourful- it was literally ink. And implied to taste horrible to non-paper creatures.
Beidou is a damn pirate.

I'm truly not understand how characters being shown to drink = alcoholism? Assuming they're all legal adults in their world and all that.
