Ayrt - it was a video that got viral but I don't recall the details, just a guy who was a very passionate librarian in the US was quitting because the "anti-woke" freaks couldn't appreciate his work and I remember thinking ugh this is why the world is going downhill. Not sure if he said he was autistic and that was the reason, or something. Which is a stupid reason, incidentally.

So I looked him up. He said he quit due to a mental health crisis and so he could focus on his mental health. I don't want to concern troll him but I hope he is taking care of himself and that the reading rainbow gig doesn't cause him more anxiety. He seems like a really genuinely nice person.

Mental health crisis is true. I'm a librarian and closer to the source than some in this community. Mychal posted allusions to considering suicide and how he'd gotten over the anniversary of when he wouldn't be here anymore.

I'm happy for him and hope the show does well.
