Smallville's Lana Lang is too pretty, like she's not even a human. I could never relate to her as a character. Chloe and Luther were my faves from the series.

Fun fact I knew a Lex/Clark shipper IRL in my college class, so I wanted to get into it but couldn't.

She is extremely pretty, which is why I was always taken aback at the racist abuse she got calling her ugly.

I have that problem with actors/characters who are too pretty. I think it takes significantly more work developing the character for me to feel like they’re a real person.

i tried rewatching this a few years ago, and i still thought she was super pretty, but i couldn't get over how weird of a put-on voice she had

She really is exceptionally beautiful, and I've only ever heard positive things about her as a person, but unfortunately I found her whole role in the story extremely tiresome and uninteresting.

Lex is definitely my fave, no competition. Whenever Lex and Lionel have scenes, it's like the show gets exponentially better for a couple of minutes...and then goes back to corny teen MOtW drama the moment we switch back to Clark.

I def ship Clex, but I haven't really gotten into the fanfic. I've tried to, a couple times, but the fandom is old enough that so much of the fic isn't on AO3, which makes sussing out the good stuff so much harder.

I knew a Chloe fan who despised Lana. I didn't watch the show, but I figured since they were like the only two female characters in it as far as I knew, that Lana was probably fine and the hatred was completely motivated by shipping.
