Unless you really enjoy the games aside from the motion sickness, I don't get why your partner can't enjoy the game by themself or find a different friend to enjoy the game with. I am willing to put myself through motion sickness to finish a game I really want to play or otherwise enjoy the gameplay of, but (1) I only do that in short play sessions and try to stop before the motion sickness kicks in (and basically stop immediately if I'm motion sick), and (2) I would never put myself through that if I wasn't interested in playing the game otherwise.
