Just. Need to vent. They are now detaining people who have legal status. Our client has TPS but they detained him anyway. That is a legal status. He is not here illegally. But will they release them? Maybe after a whole lot of fighting. Just evil.

They've been detaining US citizens for a bit now. It is insane that this is going on and so many people don't know and/or don't care. That coupled with the president declaring war on certain cities and chunks of the country. I'm seeing all this crumbling apart and nobody around me is reacting and it all makes me feel like I'm going insane. And I'm just a rando, I can't imagine what it's like for people like you who work on the "front lines" so to speak.

I'm not Catholic, but things like this make me glad the new Pope is an American and we have a figure with real compassion.
People actually got mad when he said you can't be pro-life and support treating immigrants this way. Clown country.

I'm so sorry for you, for him, for everyone dealing with ICE bullshit, and honestly for our country, or at least the part of it that wants no part in persecuting immigrants/anyone brown/anyone with a noticeable accent.
