I think my usual type would be considered unappealing by plenty of people.

But, uh, I did post that Cadfael secret a while ago. Finding him sexually attractive kind of surprised and weirded me out.

Astarion.

Act 2 Astarion is making me so mad because he apparently can't seem to stop disapproving every time I'm trying to fix things and I'm not even playing a good aligned character; I just wanna get rid of the tadpole. I'm neutral at most. I just don't kill if there's no point to it.

He is hot, granted, but his self-serving ways and his poor attempts at manipulation are making him very unappealing right now.

And yet, I haven't wanted to fuck a character in a video game so hard since Fenris from DAII. To be fair, Fenris also pissed me off to no end because my Hawke was a mage.

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'm having a chill weekend. Playing WoW Legion Remix and watching the WWE PPV. Will be doing some crochet in between all that as well.

I shall also be playing remix! I've made a druid and a paladin to get at least two of the class mounts I want. I've also got some ff14 stuff to do in between as well, there's a new fight collab with Monster Hunter and if I get enough tokens I can get some kitty vendors in my house.

Also WWE and Remix here. Leveling Yet Another Priest I didn't need, but healer queues make it so easy to breeze through content. Hoping to get my three current characters to max level and then I'll figure out what I want to do from there.

With added Pokemon battles for ScarVi now that they fixed crossplay between games for these two paradox Pokemon.

I'm kind of laughing at myself here because this was the first weekend in forever where I didn't have plans and I was really looking forward to it. Then my boss asked me to pick up a mini shift tomorrow afternoon and I said yes (because money, and honestly I enjoy my job) so now I have yet another weekend with plans. Thankfully it's just 4pm-8pm so it's not a huge deal, I'll still have all day to do whatever.

I am so close to finishing my latest crochet project, and I'm at the point where I kind of hate it and just want it to be done so I can move on to the next one. I might try and finish that this weekend actually.

We got my husband's computer upgraded (although having him ask me questions about Vivaldi is not ideal-- I. Don't. Use. Vivaldi. Or any Chrome-based browser), and mine is next (we didn't want them both down at once).

Also spent a couple hours at Pin-a-Go-Go, a semi-local pinball machine convention. It was fun but bittersweet-- not as many machines there as I hoped (I think there will be more Saturday; it runs all weekend) and far fewer of the vintage machines I like.

Having plans with my friend adjusted to the amount of rain.
(No rain or drizzle - walk in one of our big parks and then maybe some art. Rain - going to the movies) Hope for no rain, because I just adore October.

Basically no plans on Sunday. I want to do some deep cleaning and play online table games with my friends. But if there is sunshine I am absolutely ditching the cleaning :D

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.

I liked Lord Boreal better in the books.

S!B he's obviously attracted to Lyra, but it added so much to his creep factor and the feeling of her being in peril.

Ariyon Bakare is very good. But his Boreal is just a different character.

My fandom used to have so many long one-shots and multi-chapter fic. Now there are mostly (very) short fics and chapters. They're still good, for the most part, but I often find myself missing the long, meaty fanfic.

I've tried being the change. I'm only one person, though.

An acquaintance I follow on insta keeps reposting those radfem reels in her stories that are often really close to all-out misandry. While the other half of what she reposts are all cringy obsessive thirst memes about male celebrities (mainly K-pop) and characters and for the latter especially the canonically abusive shadow daddy types (and similar).
And sure, you can absolutely like something in fiction that you don't condone irl but honestly, hardcore simping for and romanticising traits and people you spend a long time condemning is a bit like an outspoken vegan stanning a steakhouse.

I’m asexual. That’s what I tell people.

But if we’re getting technical I am graysexual - every once in a blue moon, particularly when I feel sad stressed and limerent I end up feeling weird random bouts of attraction. I fear my body thinks “if nothing is going right/you’ll die at least have sex before going” and turns on that side. Pun not intended.

This is about a celebrity. A younger guy. I’m too ashamed to name him (cursed with falling for 6ft tall twinks) but I will say I stared at his back for 15 minutes and could probably do it for hours just thinking Holy shit what a back I could CRY

I have never been more glad that I'm a lone wolf Swiftie. In years past I've occasionally wished for others to squee with (and definitely a group to go to a tour or the tour movie with). But now, the negative hoopla around her new album is just everywhere.

I like the new album. It's not my favorite, but it's solid and I'm enjoying it, and I don't need anyone harshing my happy with it. And by God it is so easy to just not click on links to stuff I know I'm not gonna like to see.

Maybe it's hindsight bias, but I feel like I knew that Life of a Showgirl wasn't going to be very good. Like, from the second she announced it.

1. She's happy. She never writes her best when she's happy.
2. It's her 12th album. Yes every album has crazy high expectations on it, but TS13 is going to have them even more. By a lot. If I were Taylor, I would be hoarding any song that even seemed *slightly* genius for that album.

The upshot of this is that Showgirl turned out to be way better than I expected, and it's a nice surprise! At the first listen it was just...fine, but at this point I genuinely like it.

(I mean, I wish someone had slapped some sense into her about Wood, but one cringey song is not the end of the world or her career.)

My new office does costumes. The stuff I ordered came today. Doing a Middle Earth-style elf thing. The dress and cape fit and look really nice. Excited.
