I'm not terribly surprised. He's a workaholic comedian, he tours constantly, it's clearly his life goal. But I also think he wouldn't be able to resist the challenge of doing stand up in a place like Saudi Arabia more than the money aspect. He's already loaded, after all.

Are there any clips of the sets floating around? I don't know any other comedian who went there but at least for Jimmy I can't see 80 % of his material being okayed by the SA censors. I'm interested in seeing him talk about the whole thing afterwards.

I'm curious too, but haven't seen any clips. I cannot for the life of me imagine Carr refraining from trying to push any censorship rules as far as possible. The man would see it as a professional challenge and perhaps even a moral imperative. I guess that's why I don't get that upset at the idea of him going.

It's hilarious to present performing in Riyadh as PUSHING AGAINST censorship. A comedian who was invited has published the restrictions they were given on what they could talk/joke about.
