I personally feel punked whenever people are insisting she's some sort of super feminist icon because she's "~in charge of her sexuality~" when she's just the usual tits and ass male gaze fanservice, dressed in her own hair. Just because she's created by a woman doesn't mean she's automatically above criticism.

She's what a lot of Japanese men consider an idealized super sexy woman. Pale, thin, long-legged, an ass that's supposed to be curvy, but actually, no, not really. Large-ish breasts.

Personally, it's her dommy-mommy aura that I found most attractive.

For people wondering about the weird pose: check out eschergirls.com, a site dedicated to these kinds of 'boobs and butt' poses in which the (always) female character's body is contorted to show as much boobs and butt in one ridiculous pose as possible. The art is mostly from comics, but also features videogames and such.

I think she's okay, she looks a little like Nicole de Boer (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0207498/mediaviewer/rm4267185664/?ref_=nmmi_mi_12_4), but I had to look up what was going on with the hair because it looks like it is coming from her shoulders and I wondered why, but I guess magically transforming hair is more useful if it can be wherever.

As to the high heels, I don't know, I would guess they just like the heels. But it's harder to do acrobatics in high heels, so it is more impressive to me. I remember watching a tightrope walker walk the rope in high heels and I was impressed, both because she couldn't feel the rope with her feet and because of the balance and coordination displayed.

I do feel that this criticism falls flat on a character and game like hers, because it's at least intentional and honest about it, it's the entire vibe of the game. It's over the top, and follows the 'rule of cool'. Her heels are guns, it's more nonsensical that they are guns than she being acrobatic on heels.

I personally think the criticism fits Samus better, woman in a huge suit just to be in a thin shiny bodysuit and heels, doesn't fit her game's vibe at all, so it's kind of bullshit.

Is F!S full of boomers? Do you people understand what videogames are? They're campy, cartoony, over-the-top as shit. That's the entire point. Bayonetta is intended to be this turbo-feminine cheeky witch with long legs dancing her way through battles. Her animations are fun to watch, end of story. How would you pull off a more "feminist" version of this? You'd prefer to dress her in fucking overalls and sneakers? lol.
My gay ass loves this character.

Redemption arcs are one of my favorite storylines. Seeing a villain end up as a hero, when done right, is really fascinating. But so few versions actually get it right. Most of the time it is done too fast and the redemption isn't earned. I wish more tv shows did redemption arcs and took the time to get it right.

Jimmy Carr occasionally says something insightful and empathetic or there's a story about how much other comedians respect him and I let myself get sucked into thinking he has some principles.

I'm not even a fan of his jokes. He's always a businessman first. What a stupid celebrity to be surprised about going to Riyadh.

In general, tv shows should not last 10+ years. Even amazing shows lose their quality when running that long. Stargate lasted 10 years but was really only good for 8 of them. The less said about the later Grey's Anatomy years the better. I can't think of many shows that have remained good for longer than 6-8 years.
