It's such a kick watching Jake grow up on this show, and you really do see him becoming more and more like his dad in so many ways as time goes on. Honestly, the casting for those two was just so on point.

As for the main secret, I personally like to think that Sisko came back not long after the events of the finale and eventually retired to Bajor with Kasidy and their new kid, while Jake went on to have a great writing career. And that seems to be the consensus among the fans I've talked to as well.

But yeah, I do wonder if and how any future stories might address that dangling thread.
