As a lifelong, major furry and a Romantasy/Paranormal romance fan, I actually laughed when I saw these posts on reddit. I loved the little animal features on Sarah J. Maas's characters. If anything I wish they were even more animal-like.

The performativeness in these posts feels the same to me as the performativeness when people got mad at that F/F Omegaverse series. If you don't like wings/dicks/whatever, then it's not for you, and that's fine. No need to make a big deal out of it.
