I'm okay with Bobby being killed off. He was a good character, but not my favorite. And I love the idea of Chimney as captain. I'm just sad for Athena.

It's funny because I wasn't invested in his character, per se, but the show still feels off without him.

But the whole Buddie vs. Bucktommy thing also drained my interest in the show/fandom.

yeah I liked him, but its still a good show without him. I see a lot of people saying the show is pointless without him, or that they have "killed this show along with bobby" but I disagree. There's still so many good characters, and the stories are always fun. I also feel for Athena who lost two husbands now.

(but also, I have a head cannon that we never actually saw him die, so maybe the government has him in a secret lab somewhere, alive but still infected, and they are keeping him until they find a cure. yeah, don't look at me like that, this show has had some weird things happen, its not impossible lol)

Right? This has always been an ensemble show, unlike Lone Star. And while I did love Bobby, Athena, Chimney, Hen, and Maddie are my favorites.

I'm convinced that we didn't see him die/they didn't show his body in case the backlash had been strong and the ratings had been affected, they had a way to bring him back. Plus, I don't really remember the details, but didn't Bobby canonically have some sort of magic blood?

I was actually incredibly surprised by the huge backlash about killing him off. I didn't realize anyone cared about him THAT much.

He seemed to be the the favorite amongst the GA. The way the death was handled and how it was revealed that Peter Krause had to be convinced didn't help on the fandom side.
