tbh this is the conclusion i have come to as well. h3 and hassan make money from views, the feud literally helps enrich them both. what i genuinely don't understand is why both of these men have such rabid fans

For most internet people, politics is a spectator bloodsport and not something with genuine stakes that will affect them. That's why H3 and Hasan's fanbases are made up of trustfund babies. They're safely insulated from consequences so they can spend lotsa money to hear Hila say "thanks for the superchat mr twitch user." They're talking heads for dumb rich people with lots of cash to burn.

Agreed with bannedbooksweek's response. I would also like to add my personal thoughts that people like to use politics and morality as a means to quantify "goodness vs villainy".

Instead of actually being an active member of their community, the rabid fans get a stronger sense of their good morals and being a good person by having the "right" opinions and getting validation by watching Hasan/H3 regurgitate their opinions back at them.
