As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.

(fandom/series from which to get screecaps: Ice Fantasy.)

This series (Ice Fantasy) was what turned me off to cdramas well before the trend. It wasted 3 seasons worth of potential adventure plot by solving it in 2 episodes in order to pivot to relationship drama. I quit before the end of season 1 and there were apparently 3 full seasons?? When the Big Bad was defeated and the problem solved halfway through season 1?? Nah fam this pacing and utter crap storytelling is not my jam, and it sounds like they're all like this, so I'm out.

Shame, the costumes are amazing.

I don't what it says about me, but when I go to rewatch an episode of DS9, it is always a Ferengi episode I always watch. Except, you know, *that* one.

I want the song "Dedication" by Roy Castle played at my funeral. Apparently this makes me "weird". I guess, whatever, losers, not like I'm gonna be there for it anyway.

Go for it. My grandma had "I'm Gonna Miss Her" by Brad Paisley and "Prop Me Up Beside the Jukebox (If I Die)" by Joe Diffie.

I don't even like Talyor Swift but a lot of the outrage about her feels so performative. Like the way some people are actually enraged about her apparently "not understanding" the literary character of Ophelia and her story. Like, do these people also get their panties in a twist about the dozens upon dozens of songs invoking (the deeply misunderstood pop culture version of) Romeo and Juliet?
Like, I get it, it's partly because some of her stans pretend that all her lyrics are super profound but still, the amount of people I've seen going "I was an English major and OMG let me tell you how wrong she is about this character who has almost no lines" is kind of silly.
(But hey, at least these people finally got some use out of their English degree I guess lol.)

Drake thirsting after DJ Akademiks for a happy birthday message is one of funniest things I've ever seen, but I never thought I'd feel bad for Akademiks to the point that I hope he sees the light one day and stop his weird codependent relationship with Drake

Deliver Me From Nowhere was a mistake from start to finish. If they were going to focus on one era or album, it should have been Born to Run.

Casting Jeremy Allen White was also a huge mistake; 2025 audiences don’t support child abusers.

I wish more fiction would start on "...a dark and stormy night" again. Creators seem terrified of including too much dramatically appropriate weather these days.

I'll never understand the raw hatred some fans seem to have for Fanfiction.net. The place basically created the modern concept of online fandom. A central archive for everything, open to everyone? Free to use? It is bloody brilliant.

From what I've seen, people don't hate ff.net for what it was but for what it became over time. Started out nice and then came the purges and changes that just made it much less pleasant to use. Just like people hate Xitter for what it has become, not what it used to be.

I wish the people behind the Where Taken photogame would ban palm tree and beaches holiday-brochure cover shots.

They are uninformative boring. I started the game because it showed actual varied landscapes, or cityscapes, that introduced me to new things and told me more about other nations. Beach and palm trees are just low effort garbage.

Secret: None of my fandoms are holding my interest now. Real life is so awful, I find myself unable to focus on shows, movies, games, books…
Instead, I gone back to old fandoms, circa 2008-2015. Life was better then.

I'm sorry, but the current Rock Cocks storyline is stupid as hell. Suria and Steg want to fuck on stage while performing a rock concert without ever even rehearsing it once or working out the logistics beforehand because it's their ~~dream~~ and they're going on about how this is the only chance they'll ever get to live it out (they say while in a sex club owned by a big fan of theirs who clearly intends for them to be a regular act) and acting like their manager is just being a big ol' meanie mean-pants for telling them not to.

That was all stupid enough on its own, but then Elizabeth comes in and somehow makes it even dumber with her big, passionate speech about why Suria and Steg should be allowed to fuck while performing a rock concert and how it could sexually liberate the whole world and how the manager is a coward if he doesn't let them fuck on stage while singing and playing the guitar and drums at the same time. Honestly, it's starting to give shades of Kit and Kay Boodle and I'm just kind of over it.

There was a time when I was following maybe 10 running mangas on scanlation sites before they would come to the US (and yes, I bought and still buy the volumes in English).

I'm now down to two series that I HAVE to read as soon as I can. They're both fairly popular in Japan and the States. And yet neither have had recent chapters scanslated for ages. I'm like 6 months behind on both. What happened?

TL:DR OP is butthurt that pirates won't spend their own time and money to give them their hit of new manga updates.

The Key and Peele "Inner City Hogwarts" would make a way better show than the Harry Potter tv show, just saying. I know which one I'd want to watch.
