I loved Gong Jun in Word of Honor, and I keep hoping to see him in a role that's just as good or better, but it just doesn't seem to happen. And I've been really looking forward to Blood River, because cdrama about underworld asssassins? Sign me up! But after watching episode one, GJ seems a bit... wooden. Very beautiful, but hardly any expression even for a stoic character. Now I'm concerned he's going to be overshadowed bya ctors who have a bit more screen presence.

This question has been on my mind ever since watching most of The White Queen: Do Jaskier fans know that they can see this guy playing Edward of Lancaster and sporting another regrettable haircut, buck naked with his whole pasty ass hanging out as he consummates his marriage with Anne Neville? Is that something The Witcher fandom would want?

Honestly, I didn't even recognize Joey Batey in TWQ. he plays an utterly despicable character, too.

Whenever an anti falsely accuses me of being a pedo due to me being a proshipper orwhen i get anon hate I comfort myself by telling myself that these people wouldn't dare say such nasty shit to me irl or they'd be getting a black eye and their teeth shoved down their throat. I haven't done National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in years, since I was in college. I hadn't even thought about it in a long time. Well, back in September, I remembered it out of the blue, and decided I wanted to do it this year. For me, it's never been about writing something to publish, it's just the fun and challenge of writing 50k+ words in a month. Anyway, I go log into my account, and see this weird message on their site. I dig in and Google to find out what's going on, and surprise! They had a pedo on the team in their teenager forum! And then there was also a weird statement they made endorsing AI being used in writing. Plus, there was some weirdness about the new owner/CEO/whatever they are.

So now a lot of people are understandably pissed off, and now I feel really conflicted about doing the challenge. It's all kind of tainted now. Plus, the forums are (presumably) permanently gone, which is understandable, but also sucks, because I really enjoyed connecting with people on their forums. I have all these happy memories of typing and typing on my laptop back in the day, but now it's all ruined because of course it is.

Weekend Plans?

What is everyone doing this weekend?

I'm attempting to pass out candy but no kids so far. :/ Our house faces the wrong way, which doesn't help attract walkers. After 7pm, I'll be watching scary movies and playing video games with my sister and BIL. Tomorrow, going on a nice walk now that the rain has moved on. Other than that, some crocheting and finishing up the book I am reading.

... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that long comment secrets can be difficult to make with a good end result. Most of the time, I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space.

I'm trying something new with the comment secret thread and extending the deadline to comment until Sunday's post goes up. I'll monitor this thread until then, and hope the extra day will be more helpful for everyone.
