Yeah, she was immature about it. I still don't get the NEVER FORGIVE HER bit, but ok. I hope that's what the OP meant. I hate the idea, which seems rampant in fandom, that girls are expected to reciprocate a guy's feelings no matter what. That whole woobification of every guy who ever loved a girl in fandom is icky.

(Not even my fandom and I'm totally with you on this.)

I think you're making this a thing that its not and that the OP didn't intend.

Mickey proved himself to be a good guy over his story arc. And Rose kind of toyed with him and kept him around even though she knew she didn't love him and she just wouldn't let him go. Sure, she was confused and all but it was still ill treatment to Mickey. He didn't deserve to have her treat him like that. Its fine to not like a guy who loves you but you shouldn't flaunt it in his face and make him slightly hopeful when you don't love him back.

I dunno what the OP intended, cause all she said was "I'll never forgive her for etc etc" which to me, is rather harsh. YMMV!

She treated him very poorly. Why is that her hating Rose just cause she didn't love him? Its hating Rose cause she played with another person's heart and didn't seem to care, really.

I don't think she played with him. I think she didn't know what she wanted, that she was what, 19? And scared. I think it's human, and ultimately, very very forgivable.

I think she could have been kinder to Mickey, but hey, nobody is perfect. I know I've been a dick to plenty of guys just because I freaked. She was trying to figure it out and she took him for granted... that's actually pretty normal and not OMG UNFORGIVABLE, IMO.

Browsing around looking for an old secret and I came across this. I am so surprised you seem to be the only one who articulated exactly what was so lame about what she did to Mickey. I like Rose! But the Mickey thing just got e more and more pissed off.

Yeah, I don't get "never forgive" either. And Mickey is my favourite character in that show. She did treat him crappily. But as far as I can see, he manages to forgive her fine, so why shouldn't I? She's only human (and very young, let's not forget that was her first relationship.)
