I can't say the same for the "I'd hit it" secrets, but at least for the "I ship it" ones, a lot of the significance is lost on me, and probably a lot of people, simply because we don't know the fandom in question.

Isn't that honestly the same about most secrets? I mean, if there's a fandom that I have no familiarity with, a lot of the secret of any secret is going to be lost on me. This is Fandomsecrets--it's a place where people talk about their fandoms. Does it really matter if it's one you don't know.

Heck, I don't understand this crazy notion that all the secrets should have "substance." Maybe people just feel like saying something.

Uh, yeah, I said this. "I realize that a lot of secrets fall into the 'I don't know this fandom so I'm just scrolling past now kthnx' territory for a lot of people, which is all well and good." It just tends to stand out more with the I SHIP IT ones because there's so many of them. :/
