UGH. It's so obnoxious when people just exchange direct quoted lines, like, what are they getting out of that? I totally feel you about the repetition wearing away the cleverness or humor or enjoyment. There are some really great quotes that I feel have been run into the ground because people post them at every opportunity. When you scroll past it for the 1000th time, it loses its charm.

(BUT! I also understand that each time it's reposted someone who has never seen it before sees it for the first time and appreciates it. I get that and don't need to see the relevant XKCD. But that doesn't make it any less annoying for me seeing it for the 3,000th time.)

Yes, exactly. I know it must be doing something for them since so many people seem to enjoy reciting these quotes back and forth, but I don’t get it at all.
