The Langden plot is the worst because it makes Santos right and also she's constantly held up/being covered for/forgiven/given privileges.

I can almost get her being the one to discover Langdon, because we often overlook signs in people close to us, so she has "fresh eyes" or whatever. But she got the solve on way too many cases. She's smart, that's cool. But she's also an arrogant asshole who faced hardly any repercussions for reckless behavior.

I like Mel but I really hate that it's impossible to say anything at all about any characters in that show without getting people fly in saying how much they hate Santos. Even here. It wasn't about her? Like, wow, okay yeah, it's really really important for you to tell me how much you hate her. And I don't even much care about her at all I just like the actress it's just ridiculous how everpresent the hatred is and how her and Mel get always pitted against each other (in the Mel is a cinnamon roll and Santos is evil evil way). Made me like Mel less, which is sad cause she *is* a cinnamon roll.

I love Mel. And I am starting to love Santos more and more each day because haters I extremely annoying. Also they somehow always okay with Langdon. Bonus points for shipping him with Mel

I hate Langdon and would not wish him on anyone let alone Mel, so maybe that means I can say Santos is the WORST CHARACTER ON THE SHOW.

I'm not deep in the fandom, so I didn't realize there was discourse and comparisons. I apologize.

I only brought Santos up in the context of "I didn't like Character A (Mel) or B (Santos) at the start, but A grew on me while B did not".

I am trying not to be confrontational. But you really don't need to be deep into fandom to see how cocky and not so perfect female character is universally hated. In every comment to the Pitt video, in every thread, in every post.
