What are some characters that you started out hating but grew to like?

I was meh on Dawn the first time I watched Buffy, but she's grown on me a lot in subsequent rewatches.

I didn't like Clara with 11, their dynamic didn't work for me. But with 12 I came to love Clara.

I was meh on JJ on Criminal Minds at first. But she's become a favorite.

Of course, D&D fucked all of that up on the show and made me hate him again toward the end.

Shockingly, Steve Rogers! Hated him in his first movie, then the Winter Soldier came out.

I was probably the most vocal Katara hater on this site for years. Then 2020 saw a lot of new Avatar fans who had such stupid views of her that I started defending her. I still hated her, I just thought everyone else hated her for the wrong reasons or ones that didn't even exist. But then somewhere along the way I got so into my defenses I realized I had actually started liking her.
