I'd be hard pressed to say which one I think was the better movie, but Weapons was definitely more to my taste. Both were fantastic.

I liked Weapons. I didn't LOVE it, but I didn't have any major complaints about it either.

Haven't seen Barbarian. I prefer my horror movies to have supernatural elements in them, and IIRC Barbarian doesn't? It still sounds pretty interesting though.

I enjoyed Weapons SO MUCH. Barbarian I haven't seen but it sounded like it'd get a definite "meh" from me.

as much as I loved Weapons, I disagree - Barbarian has way stronger writing IMO and its story feels more thought out. also, Barbarian's way scarier than Weapons.
all the people in comments who didn't see it because of the summary - trust, it's way better than anything you can imagine. I knew nothing about it going in watching with friends and it was one of the best horrors I saw period. maybe should've done the same with Weapons instead of hyping up myself over it.

I thought it was one of the most boring films I've ever seen. Not much style and nothing of substance.
