I love Doom.

Why would anyone hate Doom? It's a fun time, especially when the chainsaw comes out!

I actually enjoy Waterworld. It is just Mad Max on water.

I love Waterworld! It is just a fun time. I didn't realize it was so hated until I started seeing people hating on it in places like reddit.

I guess people just hate fun.

Super Mario Bros 1993

Kid Me just thought it was silly happy-making fun, and had no idea it was considered one of the worst movies ever made.

That movie scared me as a kid for some reason, lol.

The women Ghostbusters! I actually like it better than the original because I thought it was funnier and avoided a couple of things I didn't like in the original and I don't care who knows it!

Seconded! It is so joyful and funny.

I rewatch it whenever I need a fun distraction.

It is my favorite Ghostbusters! I was shocked so many people hated it. I've watched it multiple times and I'm not even someone who rewatches movies all that often.

I love that one! It's the only Ghostbusters I rewatch.

Fight Club

I feel like people forget or ignore or disagree that HBC is what makes that film a true classic.

Film bros do not understand the movie, it is from a book written by a gay man and played like a romance by the actors.

Also the score is amazing

If there was any romance in the film, I missed it.

I mean, arguably the final shot (against the Pixies *chef kiss*) but I think you'd have to have a pretty warped sense of romance to see it.

I'm a girly-girl feminist with very little patience for men's bullshit, and I love Fight Club. I love the book and the movie, in somewhat different ways.

The Starship Troopers CGI movies.

People hate them for nonsensical stuff, and fair. But I love them since they're so full of action and animated for badass action scenes, melding the suits of the books with film lore.

I kind of love Twilight. The first one. I once saw it described as standing out from the others in that "It's basically a Pacific North Western indie movie about awkward sexual tension and high-performance Volvos," and I've never gotten over the accuracy.

I didn't like the film; my then roommate dragged me to see it, but it did make me miss redwoods and the PNW.
