No, “yume” is definitely a Japanese term. I think it’s something like “fantasy”? But it probably depends on context.

Above anon is correct, it comes from the Japanese fandom word yumejoshi. Yume means dream, and yumejoshi means "female selfshipper" the same way fujoshi means "female m/m shipper."
