I lasted through a season and a half of Hero Inside, but every black character is an antagonist, an idiot, or ... this.

I've learned never to expect Black characters to be protagonists or even remotely relevant in most Pan-Asian productions.

The main character has a black best friend, but he's pretty much just comic relief. Everything he does is about getting popular on the Internet and/or impressing girls, and he can't even use the magical comic books because he "lacks imagination." His one redeeming trait is that he will never betray the main character under any circumstances.
