Hazbin Hotel || Charlie-Bashing (SOME SEASON 2 SPOILERS)

So I've noticed that there's a lot of discontent about Charlie in season 2 and while some of it I do understand, I've seen some stuff that's just ignoring things to justify.

Namely the claim that she didn't even care at all about Alastor's capture by Vox which... I mean I guess some people might say it wasn't nearly enough but. I do recall her showing concern and even fear at what "they" (the Vees) might be doing to Alastor. also at the finale party she went toward Alastor to sit by him as soon as she noticed him.

Also even more shocking was someone I saw commenting that she "didn't even save /try to save her dad" and like I'm sorry WHAT??" did I just hallucinate that part of ep 7 when she's freaking out about her dad not responding and not being able to contact him. Then when she got a call from Vox and he mentioned her dad she asked and wanted to go to the party to rescue him. And it was the fuckin FIRST thing she asked upon her arrival to Vox literally was "where is my dad"

I haven't seen the last two episodes yet so I only skimmed your post, but just in general the impression I got is that the most negative takes and bashing of Charlie this season comes from people who really didn't notice her flaws during the first season. It was like some people didn't look past the bright colour and singing in season 1 and took everything we were told at face value, rather than seeing what we were shown. So when this season built on the latter, those same people are having some very intense emotions having to come to grips with it all.
