From one lonely person to another, turning to FS may what's hurting you. DW isn't as active as LJ was in the aughts, and FS is mostly full of rude, condescending anons. I see less namies every year because of the dogpiling and lack of reading comprehension.

You're better off trying to interact with others in namespace, whether it's making an account on here and joining a friending meme or blogging, or trying the Tumblr tags or subreddits for your fandom, Bluesky, Discord servers, anything like that. My experiences on social media were less toxic than here because people are *logged in*.

Yeah, sadly I have to agree. I've been part of another anon community that has kind of gone the same way. For whatever reason, some anons get straight up hateful over named accounts, and will basically bully them off the site. Which is so weird? But yeah, even if you're anon, it's discouraging to get shitty replies and people skimming your comment and missing the point completely.

Curious which anon comm it may be? I know of one, starts with F, it's fun to lurk but I've had rude experiences. A more obscure offshoot starting with W used to be fun, but I dislike it too now. I think namespace is the best way to go nowadays, even if anon is useful for admitting unpopular opinions and kinks.
