I'm ok with like...50s and above. But below that, I'm just miserable, because it's impossible to get myself to a comfortable temperature. Some part of me is always too cold while another part is too hot. I have rosacea, so my face flushes really uncomfortably after I've been exposed to the cold. The heater is on, I get too hot. The heater goes off, I get too cold. The blanket warms me until my face turns bright red but my hands are freezing. Etc etc etc.

Sorry nonny. Personally I'm the opposite, I hate hot weather. I had being hot, I hate unshaded sunlight. I'm not really made for Texas weather. I don't love being freezing cold per say, but I'd rather be cold than hot. I can't sleep when I'm hot, I feel sick when I'm hot, I get migraines easily when hot. Summer is my least favorite season.

I will say that the heater can trigger migraines for me because my mom likes to keep it warmer than I do. I tend to have my ceiling fan on high most of the time, which does help.

OP didn't say they loved very hot weather though, maybe they hate both!

You started it with "I'm the opposite," just pointing out that it doesn't necessarily have to be opposite to hate hot weather... relax

Pointing out that OP might not hate hot weather wasn't jumping down anyone's throat. A passing remark that OP might not be the opposite of philstar, and hate both types of extreme weather was not malicious???

I dunno man, it's starting to feel like people got so used to toxic positivity culture that any neutral statement or casual remark is read as criticism when it contained nothing like that.

It's not based on nothing even, high heat triggers rosacea too and OP mentioned having it. I don't really know what the defensiveness is about

I read your original comment as more just making conversation. People here don't seem to really do that lately, it's more "throw my statement into the void and get confused when the void talks back" mode.

You don't need to comment on every little thing on the internet. I suspect OP will sleep just fine whether or not a stranger believes they aren't a fan of hot weather.

Weird thread ngl. Literally my original comment was like hey, OP might hate hot weather too!

A casual response to that would have been 'haha tru we might have that in common instead of being opposites' not like I was accusing them of doing something heinously wrong. So I clarified that it was a casual remark and what brought it on.

You don't need to comment on this either btw. I don't mind if you do, though. It's a forum.

This is an over the top response to someone saying maybe OP hates hot weather, which is reasonable since OP themselves mention rosacea that is also commonly triggered during heat.

Same here, and I am done with it. It's a cold morning and it's the first day of summer. I've been wearing winter clothes for five months and this is one of the hottest countries in the world.

I can't stand the cold because I get literal chill pains down my legs and arms, it's awful and my country is too cold for me like 75% of the year. I could be born in colder places so I count my blessings, but I still wish it was warmer for most of the year instead of trying to find ways to keep warm that never last. It sucks and I hate it.

My ideal temperature range is outside temps from 50-73 F and low humidity. Anything higher and I just got too hot and sweaty. I can stand lower, but prefer not to be outside in it.
