I like the Xianxia, immortality and rebirth subgenres in CN webnovels for several reasons but one of the main ones is that I'm really fucking scared of death so reading about immortal characters is really soothing to me.

Even if a longer life = lots of episodes and whole plot arcs of suffering? I've tried to give this genre a chance but it just isn't for me, including Love Between Fairy and Devil.

Interesting. I'm the opposite, I dislike a lot of CN webnovels because of immortality/rebirth subgenres (but maybe it's because I can't stand timeskips which seem to be the norm)

Oh yes, I am afraid of death in a specific way in which I fear I will die having not done enough (which I imagine is a common fear). I also like stories about immortals living for centuries/millennia.
