I understand. I dislike books in the romance genre, they're just not my thing. And I've tried to read several of the popular BookTok series, and thought they were garbage. (Sorry, just my subjective opinion.) I have gotten to the point that I cannot stand cheesy romance. The slightest hint of cheese and I'm fuckin' DONE.

At this point, I feel like "if it's popular on booktok it's almost guaranteed to be crap" is the perfect summary (at least for my taste).

So true. I just assume BookTok in general has either low literacy or bad taste. Maybe both! Once in awhile they strike gold, but a broken clocks and all that.
