Family drama

Gotta get this off my chest

The two parties who have historically put others down as a form of regulating their low self esteem are now turning on each other. The scapegoats have been able to escape or grey rock to the point that the bullies only have each other for company.

It's...interesting to be on the outside listening to each party tell me their side of the story. Trying my best not to get involved. I'm just listening and telling them they are allowed to do whatever they want. I really don't know where this is going, but I didn't believe this would happen. Both parties seemed to benefit enough from each other that they wouldn't turn on each other, but I guess not.

On a very selfish level, I'm glad I don't live with them anymore.

Trying not to get involved sounds smart. Sorry you're dealing with that, family drama sucks. I'd be glad not to live with them too tbh.

Sounds messy, anon. I don't think it's selfish to be glad that you're not living with that anymore, it's just common sense. I don't even know you and I'm glad you're not living with them.

It also sounds typical. Bullies are always looking for a target, that's why removing oneself as the target can be an effective countermeasure.
