If you had wealthy parents who were willing to fund your dreams, your outlook on life would be very, very different.

Likewise, if you were raised in an environment surrounded by a particular career path and the people involved in it, you might have a very different viewpoint on whether to pursue it (or not) and why.

It's nice to think "I'd never be X if I were in the same situation"... but honestly, you have no idea what effect that kind of upbringing would actually have on you.

This, honestly.

That's actually why I have mixed feelings about the "nepo baby" thing. It's very normal for kids to end up having the same profession as their parents, and often do "get in" through knowing the same people and/or possessing similar skills.

But I also see the other side of it, nepo babies get to make and do things others can't because they don't have that leverage.

DA

Especially around Art professions, that are very network driven. Obviously that knowing someone will get you there faster, that's half how it works.

Yeah, it's like how I never wanted to be rich because everyone hated rich people and I didn't want everyone to hate me. But if I'd been born rich I'd have been brought up to not care what anyone else thought of me because I'd think I was better than all of them.

What OP describes isn't that outlandish, though. Plenty of famous peoples' kids don't have prominent careers or anything like that. They just live quietly, sometimes doing "normal" jobs that have nothing to do with the entertainment industry and a lot of people have no idea what they look like because they're not out walking red carpets or anything.

I think it really depends on how famous parents are. Also not every famous actor is especially rich - having wiki page doesn't bring money
