Likewise, if you were raised in an environment surrounded by a particular career path and the people involved in it, you might have a very different viewpoint on whether to pursue it (or not) and why.


That's actually why I have mixed feelings about the "nepo baby" thing. It's very normal for kids to end up having the same profession as their parents, and often do "get in" through knowing the same people and/or possessing similar skills.

But I also see the other side of it, nepo babies get to make and do things others can't because they don't have that leverage.

Especially around Art professions, that are very network driven. Obviously that knowing someone will get you there faster, that's half how it works.
