Since when did pointing out that there exists in fandom an anti-man sentiment in some quarters equate to jonesing for attention from The Man? (Unless pointing out there's an anti-woman sentiment in some parts is kissing up to NOW? I hadn't thought of it that way - at least it's not why I'd do it. *shrug*)

At any rate, I would hope the original secret is a troll, but I do know of some actual LJ users who probably believe this. And that's sad. :-/

If you just want to leave a regular old comment or have a laugh at something or even take the piss out of someone for a secret that doesn't contain anything very important, well, OK - be anonymous. But when you purport to be Speaking For The Voiceless On An Important Issue, you should at least use the fake Internet name you gave yourself.
