I’ve wondered the same thing! I think if he focuses on stage for another couple years he’ll be fine. If he tried to jump right back onto screen it would be less likely. I think his ties to Ryan Reynolds and pretty much everything that happened in 2024 would make it more difficult if he had tried to do any movies this year. The cheating, getting caught up in the Blake Lively vs Justin Baldoni feud, and just sheer overexposure from so heavily promoting Deadpool and Wolverine all took a toll on his image.

Semi-related: for a second it looked like Deb was going to start acting again but she hasn’t done anything since right after they announced their split :(
