I'm sorry nonny. I've definitely been there before, especially as someone who enjoys giving others gifts. It's completely possible they've had a lot on their plate so they haven't been able to really express their gratitude.
It's really sweet of you to make an advent calendar. So thoughtful and sounds so fun!

I've stepped back from asking people what they think of a gift. Also stopped feeling anticipation when finding or handing a gift to someone. I can't handle feeling dejected anymore, so I've learned to feel happy I found a gift and wish the gift a happy life, and then let go of any emotional attachment I have to the gift (no more thinking "will they gidt receiver like it?" allowed).
