I hate Elf.

Polar Express!

Maybe it's because I find the animation creepy and off-putting, or maybe it's because for my long years of teaching, that's the only Christmas movie my kids ever want to watch on the day before break. I'm soooo tired of it.

Soundtrack is decent though.

The animation scares me too! I much prefer the book!

Miracle on 34th Street

Almost all of them honestly.

I enjoy Christmas as a holiday but there are very few ‘about Christmas itself’ movies that I can stand, and the ones I can are kind of deliberately terrible. Example: I enjoy the Princess Switch movies unironically but it’s because they’re pretty aware of how dumb they are. Otherwise Christmas movies just aren’t for me, winter season it Tolkien season for me instead were I watch the 6 movies over the holidays.

A Christmas Story, for sure. Everyone in it is deeply repugnant, especially the children, ESPECIALLY the little brother.

The scene where the mom is trying to get the little brother to eat gave me such a visceral feeling of disgust.

Oh, I hate this movie! I've never watched it all the way through because of how awful everyone is.

Elf. Will Ferrell is just obnoxious.

The live-action Grinch. I just don't care for it. And I hate all the commercialized Grinch shit.

I tried to watch Love Actually and didn't get very far in because I hated all the characters. Maybe I'd like it if I gave it a chance, but nah.

Love Actually is such a mixed bag. I love Emma Thompson, but hate her story and the bit about being in a shitty marriage is too close to home these days. Hugh Grant's dance is funny, but I HATE everyone calling Martine McCutcheon's character fat. Hate everything about Keira Knightley and the "romantic" way her husband's best friend does this cringe love declaration to her. Love Colin Firth but his romance was meh. Love Laura Linney but her story was depressing. I like Bill Nighy's story, though.

99% of them. A Christmas Story, Its a Wonderful Life, the live action Grinch with Jim Carrey, and all the Christmas romance movies especially.

I'd probably hate Lampoon if I'd had to watch it a million times like the others. I've only seen it once, did't like it, but thankfully my parents didn't watch it growing up.

My dad loved a Christmas Story, so that's the one we watched the most. I hate it so much.

99% of them. The remaining .1% is occupied by A Muppet Christmas Carol, which I love.

Ooo, yews. Muppet Christmas Carol is great.

Polar Express creeps me out and I really dislike that a live-action Grinch movie exists.

I don't think it's beloved by a lot of people, but I feel like I should warn others how terrible I think The Night Before (2015) is.

Die Hard, especially when people get all obnoxious about telling everyone it's a Christmas movie like they were the first person to have thought of it. I don't like Bruce Willis at all.

So many better Christmas action films too!

Never seen Elf but I almost never find Will Ferrell funny anyway. (The two exceptions to this are more cowbell guy and Blades of Glory)
I LOATHE It's A Wonderful Life. It's sappy bullshit, NOBODY has a town full of people who will run over with big bushel baskets of money if they're in trouble, and I DO NOT APPRECIATE some movie from 1947 telling me if a woman isn't married that it's some fate worse than death!!!

Its a Wonderful Life is so bad. He's obnoxious to everyone. And, without him, his wife became a...a...librarian! What a terrible fate!

People bringing this middle-class guy baskets of money absolutely killed me

I really hate holiday movie classical to my country. Especially when people tell me that HOW I can't like it, it's a classic.
I tried watching Golden Hollywood movies like It's a Wonderful Life and have found them annoying frankly.
Harry Potter movies. I disliked them even before Joan showed her whole ass.

Love Actually

Well, the one and only time I tried to watch It's a Wonderful Life I started considering composing a suicide note.

So there's that.

The Santa Clause - boring AF

Love Actually - for a few years, this was The Christmas movie between me and a friend. But one year, I was watching it alone and I was like, "Wow I hated so much more of this movie than I remembered."

Christmas with the Kranks - not very good, there are so many more Christmas movies you can watch before this one
