ugh, i need to shit. but i've been constipated lately so it doesn't want to come out, and my asshole literally hurts because it's this big dry hard pieces coming out and it tore up my asshole. so i'm scared to go because it's going to hurt. fml i need to eat more fiber

i might try that. i'm scared of getting where i'm dependent on them but this really really sucks so i think it's worth doing it once

Non-stimulant laxative are safer to use and can be used longer term than stimulant laxatives, please look into it yourself/ask a doctor to make sure you get the right medicine for your situation but my unprofessional suggestion would be to check the label on stool softeners for "stimulant free" or similar and only use products labeled "stimulant laxative" for occasional severe constipation, because they are harder on your body and can cause issues if taken frequently. Use a glycerine suppository. Won't make you dependent, works faster.

drink more fluids throughout the day so your colon doesn't dry out so much.

you could also try a stool softener mentioned by another anon or Metamucil. if it's really bad and it's been a week+, you could try an enema. when you're on the toilet, try reading something while you wait to help your butt relax and put a step stool under your feet.

i know i need to drink more, esp water. it hasn't been that long yet but like, if it keeps up..i've read that it's better to kind of adjust your feet more like you're squatting so that's worth a try too. thank you.
